As a ministry, Mason-Dixon Youth For Christ knows that prayer is vital for ministry to be effective and to remain faithful to God’s Word. We believe that in prayer, we are coming into the presence of God to lift up our burdens and requests, while offering praise and thanksgiving for His abundant blessings. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 says “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you”.
We are beginning a regular prayer time for the ministry.
Join us the first Thursday of every month from 9:00 -9:15 am!
There are two ways to participate.
Join us in person at the YFC Ministry Center in Hanover, PA or
Join our recurring Zoom call from wherever you happen to be at that time.
Simply email firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll send you the link.
We invite you to join us in praying for chapter prayer requests and giving praise for answered prayer. We are starting a regular email that will share suggested items to include in your prayers for YFC. If you would like to join our prayer team and receive the emails, or have any questions, please send an email to email@example.com.
PRAYING THROUGH THE WEEK
Praise God for His unfailing love. He is our eternal hope (Psalm 33:22). Thank Him for all he has done and for what He is going to do in the days to come (1 Chronicles 16:8)
Pray for students as they begin a new school week. Pray for them to seek God and His wisdom above all (Matthew 6:33). Pray for their hearts to be open to faith in Jesus and that they would accept salvation (John 3:16). Pray for their protection in body, mind, and soul (Psalm 12:1)
Pray for leadership to have wisdom in making decisions (Proverbs 3:5-6) and for strength for their calling to serve (Galatians 6:9). Pray for faithful leaders to serve God (Titus 1:7-9).
Pray for Mason-Dixon YFC to be a light to our communities, representing God's love (John 13:35), speaking God's truth (1 Corinthians 2:13), and always serving others (Romans 12:1).
Thank God for all who voluntarily give of their time to serve in various ways--cleaning the office, mowing the lawn, making connections, donating money for the expenses, providing snacks, and so much more (1 Peter 4:10). Pray for additional volunteers to expand the reach of student ministry (Matthew 9:38).
Thank God for those who give generously to the needs of ministry expenses (2 Corinthians 9:11). Pray for God to meet all the needs as they arise through the generosity of His people (2 Corinthians 9:7).
Pray for God to lead us into the future with fresh vision (Hebrews 12:1), standing firm on the foundation of truth (Psalms 111:10), and ready to engage students in a world that is constantly changing (2 Corinthians 3:4).
